Every job starts with a free home visit. Here is exactly what happens between your first call and walking on your new floor.
We start at your place — house, shop or office. We look at the floor you have got, listen to what you want, and talk it through in plain English. No sales pitch, no pressure. Just a proper look so nothing gets guessed at later.
Samples in your own light
We bring real pieces of vinyl so you can see and feel them in the room they are going in. Colours look different at home than they do in a showroom.
Careful measuring
Every room, doorway and awkward corner gets measured. That is how you avoid paying for material you never needed.
Planning the layout
We work out which way the planks should run, how the floor flows from room to room, and where the joins land so they are least noticeable.
After the visit you get a written quote. It splits out what the vinyl costs and what the labour costs, so you can see exactly where your money goes. That number is the number — we do not add extras at the end.
Once you are happy with the quote, the vinyl needs ordering. We can sort it through our suppliers, or you are welcome to buy it yourself if you have found something you like. Either way is fine by us — we just make sure the right material is on site and settled before we start.
We prep the subfloor, deal with any dips or damp, and lay your vinyl properly. We work clean, we work steady, and we do not pack up until the job is finished and the space is tidy. Then we walk it with you before we go.

Salt air, damp cellars, snow tracked in from the driveway and August humidity — a floor on the North Shore has a hard life. This is why vinyl handles it better than most.
A Cape Ann winter and a July heatwave both move a floor about. Vinyl takes it in its stride — no cracking, no cupping, no gaps opening up at the seams.
Wet boots at the door, a damp basement, salt air off the harbour. None of it soaks in, because vinyl is waterproof the whole way through, not just on top.
Strong sun through a south-facing window will bleach a lot of floors. The wear layer on vinyl holds its colour for years, so the hallway still matches the front room.
Our planks come with a pad already attached, so footsteps do not echo through the house. Worth having upstairs, in apartments, and anywhere with a busy household.

Here is roughly what fitting costs, so you know before you call. You always get a written quote after we have seen the room — and nothing starts until you have said yes to it.
Labour only. The vinyl itself runs $2.50–$9.00 per sq. ft. and is quoted separately.
For rooms with a flat, sound subfloor and a simple square shape. Bedrooms and front rooms usually land here.
For awkward angles, herringbone or feature layouts, and floors that need levelling before anything goes down.
For jobs where the old floor has to come up or the boards underneath need fixing before vinyl can be laid.
